Flowers of the Wildwood Locations
Below you’ll find a screenshot of each flower, against which I’ve put a number. That number then corresponds to the one you’ll find on the location map below. Enjoy roaming!
Eyebright (1)
Coordinates: 22.5S, 58.1W
Apparently Eyebright is a long-used herb
for the treatment of minor eye issues. Who would have thought playing LOTRO would help you learn about the real world?
Ragged Robin (2)
Coordinates: 23.6S, 63.5W
Not “Rocky Robin”, as I keep thinking! Ragged Robin is not only pretty, but is enjoyed by Bees too.
Teasel (3)
Coordinates: 21.8S, 60.0W
Teasel was once used in the weaving process earning it the name “fuller’s teasel”. But nowadays, aside from it looking pretty, there are some possible health benefits of the flower too.
Speedwell (4)
Coordinates: 21.4S, 56.2W
Alias Veronica, Speedwell can come in a variety of colours, but in the Wildwood it is white and blue.
Shepherd’s Purse (5)
Coordinates: 18.7S, 57.6S
Called a “purse” because of its triangular-shaped leaves, Shepherd’s Purse is part of the mustard family. Although it “may” possibly
be used to treat excessive bleeding, I’m fairly sure it’s not found in mustard. Wood Spurge (6)
Coordinates: 17.2S, 55.4S
Not “splurge” as my brain keeps trying to read it as! Wood Spurge, shockingly, is found in woodlands and is an evergreen plant. The flowers are held in “cup-shaped bracts in clusters
“. I think LOTRO did well on this one. Yellow-Rattle (7)
Coordinates: 18.0S, 60.0W
If you encounter these flowers in the middle of Summer, you may be able to (gently) shake the seed pods
and hear them rattle. The plant is also yellow, so figuring out the origin of the name isn’t exactly challenging! Knotted Thistle (8)
Coordinates: 15.9S, 58.7W
And I’m not sure whether this is a specific type of thistle, I couldn’t actually find any references to it. It just looks like a Thistle to me, albeit a detailed plant in the Wildwood that’s very pretty to look at.

As always, the first people to get me through the deed when I initially embarked on the LOTRO Wildwood was the Wiki. My thanks to that great community of editors, which allowed me to put this map and visual guide together really easily.
I did ride around all the locations to gather the information and screenshots myself so see this as a collaborative piece.

What I love most about exploration deeds is that they’re there for just that – enjoying the world. They encourage you to view the region – the environment the LOTRO designers have spent time and invested care into – so that you can enjoy it. So as you roam the Wildwood of Bree-land and find these flowers, remember to #StopAndStare, breathe and, just be.
