Filbert Fig is one of the Rotating Figments of Splendour Cosmetics vendors in LOTRO. But as with all the other ones, outfit items are not the only things he sells. Here’s your rundown of Filbert’s wares so you can decide whether you want to pay him a visit or not!
Where Is He?
When active, Filbert Fig can be found in Bree at the Boar Fountain. He is alongside the Motes of Enchantment vendor. He also appears in:
Per the Wiki
, these are:
- Bree, in Bree-land, by the Boar Fountain
- Galtrev in Dunland
- Skarháld in Ered Mithrin
- Estolad Lân in Imlad Morgul
Other Figments Vendors
Is Filbert Fig in Bree Right Now?
Filbert is around from about 25th September 2025 until Rowan Raspberry arrives, which is likely to be in 2026, now.
Motes/Figments Exchange
Filbert Fig can exchange your Motes of Enchantment for Figments of Splendour at a ratio of 1000:1000. This is not the same as 1:1 despite the mathematical ratio being that! You can only change these in blocks of 1000.
So, if you’ve earned Motes of Enchantment, say, through completing deeds in LOTRO, then you can convert those to Figments of Splendour, allowing you to buy more things! Hurrah!
For those of you earning Embers of Enchantment, the same exchange rate is available for those, too.
Cosmetics
Last year, we saw the new Birding Hobby, arrive. Soon after that, we had the Sophisticated Birder cosmetics.
In 2025, we have new Avid Birder outfit items too.

Sophisticated Birder Cosmetics
Horse-Archer’s Cosmetics
The Horse Archer’s cosmetics and Horse Archer’s Steed. The pack is a Quiver Backpack. Last year I think it was in lootboxes. I still need to add it to my database, though. That’s why its layout is a bit squiffy compared to the others.
I’ve seen some folk refer to this as the Horse Archers Cosmetics, so I’m popping this into text here to help yous find it in the future.
Dwarf-Make Set
Argent Dwarf-Make Set
“Argent” is the French word for Silver, so I have to guess that English uses this term somewhere too. The Helm certainly looks more silvery and, as Mithril is “True Silver”, I guess that’s where LOTRO got their inspiration from. Regardless, here’s the Argent set from Filbert Fig.
Dwarf-Make Cloaks
Mounts
War-steed Cosmetic
There hasn’t been a specific birding mount, however, there is a war-steed cosmetic: The Sophisticated Birder’s Accessory
.
I’ve not decided if I want this yet, so I’ve linked to the Wiki for you.
Emote
- The Shoo Emote ( 6,000)
I do own this emote, but I have yet to record it.
What Does It Do, Then?
When you use /shoo your character flaps wildly in front of them in an annoyed way. This is used automatically in some quests where emotes are part of the quest requirements. An example that springs to mind is shooing crows in the wheat maze in Wistmead.
Pets
Filbert now sells a huge array of cosmetic pets. As getting Figments is time-costly, I find deciding on one or two items I like and go for those. Generally, only outfit cosmetics roll into the Curator‘s stock, so you can afford to be picky.
2025 Filbert Fig Pets
There was no new mount from Filbert Fig. However, there are three pets – two for Figments and one from Lootboxes.
Only found in lootboxes this year.
2024 Filbert Fig Pets
All 2024’s pets can be bartered for now. None of these three are in lootboxes:
Other Pets
When I first set up this page, I did not have the Figments to buy everything. And, to be honest, I don’t actually want Neeker-breeker or Glow Worm pets.
But they exist, and you might, so it’s only fair I tell you how to get those I didn’t have!
- Copper Nether-hound – 6,000
- Cask-Laden Donkey – 4,000
- Buff Donkey – 4,000
- Green Glow Worm and Orange Glow Worm – 2,000 each
- Neeker-breekers – Sapphire and Topaz – 2,500 each
- Amethyst Neeker-breeker – 4,000
For more details, see the Wiki
info on Filbert’s wares.
Housing Decorations
Filbert Fig offers a number of housing decorations. Before 2023, these were mostly dwarf-centric. However, there are some other decos in the mix now. But this aspect is not my “thing”.
Instead I send you off to Déco du Milieu‘s relevant (English) page instead. Have fun window shopping!
Flame of Ancalamír
If you have lost (or never had) your Flame of Ancalamír, you can acquire one from Mr Fig. It costs just 34 , 80 .
Make sure to choose “Browse the Shop” rather than “Barter Items” if you want to buy a Flame.
TL;DR See Filbert Fig in LOTRO for Cosmetics, Mounts and more!
While Filbert Fig used to be a Dwarf specialist he’s since branched out more. So pay him a visit and spend some Figments of Splendour. My only annoyance is the maximum 10,000 Figments, but at least we have a couple of festivals while he’s around! Remember that sometimes, the Curator turns up around Yule too, so you may need to save up!
